Last Reviewed: August 5, 2025

This Privacy Policy explains how NextDR.ai (“NextDR,” “we,” or “our”), a brand operated by Orkrestrate.ai LLC, collects, uses, and protects limited personal and operational data for licensing, support, and administrative purposes. NextDR provides on-premise software for disaster recovery orchestration and does not access or process customer data or workloads beyond what is required for licensing and support.

By using our Services or providing us your information, you agree to the practices outlined in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect and store limited data necessary for licensing, support, and billing purposes. This includes:

a. Personal and Contact Information

Provided by the customer when purchasing or activating the software:

  • Full Name

  • Email Address

  • Phone Number

  • Company Name

  • Billing Address

b. Operational Metadata (for Licensing Only)

Collected securely from the deployed NextDR software during license validation:

  • To enforce licensing limits and ensure proper usage of the NextDR.ai software, our on-premise platform securely collects and transmits non-personal, aggregate metadata during periodic license validation checks.

This metadata is collected from the environment in which the software is deployed (whether cloud or on-prem) and may include the total number of infrastructure components in use. Specifically, this includes:

This information is strictly limited to aggregate counts, is not user-specific, and contains no sensitive data or content from customer workloads. It is used solely for license validation and support eligibility, and is not shared with any third parties outside of licensing operations.

The collected data may reflect broader cloud infrastructure resource types present in the environment, such as:

    • Number of cloud compute instances (e.g., virtual machines, physical servers)

    • Number of managed databases

    • Number of users, recovery plans, application groups, and features configured within the software

    • Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), subnets, and networking services

    • Container clusters (e.g., Kubernetes workloads)

    • Object and block storage resources

    • Identity and access configurations (only usage counts, never credentials)

    • Messaging and eventing systems (e.g., Pub/Sub, EventBridge equivalents)

    • Monitoring, logging, and orchestration services

Note: This data is aggregated, non-personal, and does not include configuration details, content, or any customer data.

2. Software Behavior and Deployment

NextDR is a self-hosted, on-premise platform. It operates entirely within your private infrastructure and does not send telemetry, configuration, or content data to our systems.

The software makes a periodic outbound request to our licensing server, transmitting only:

  • License ID or token

  • Aggregated infrastructure statistics (see section 1.b)

  • Software version information

No workload or customer-specific data is accessed or transmitted.

3. Use of Collected Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Issue and validate software licenses

  • Provide support services

  • Respond to customer inquiries

  • Deliver billing communications

  • Ensure compliance with license limits

  • Analyze aggregate usage to improve the licensing model

We do not use this information for marketing or advertising purposes.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent any personal or operational information.

We may share limited information with:

  • Payment processors

  • Customer support platforms

  • CRM and license management systems

  • Legal authorities, if required by applicable law

These third parties are under strict contractual and confidentiality obligations.

5. Security

We use access control, and secure storage to protect the limited data we collect. All license validation communications are transmitted securely.

6. Data Retention

We retain contact and licensing-related data only for as long as necessary to fulfill our obligations or comply with legal requirements. You may request deletion of your contact information at privacy@nextdr.ai.

7. Your Rights

You may contact us to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal information

  • Object to or restrict our use of your data (where applicable)
